We're a small, family-owned lawn care and landscape design business serving both residential and commercial clients in McDonough, Georgia. What started as a lawn care company has grown to provide a wide array of landscape services. We pride ourselves on doing the job right the first time and giving our clients the kind of service we'd hope to receive.

John Stephens
Owner & Managing Officer
John founded JW's in 2011 after retiring from police work after 25 years. Since then, he's helped grow the company from a lawn care-only business to offering all kinds of landscaping services. Today, he co-owns the business with his son, Garrett, and functions as a consultant to the business.
He and his wife, Diana, and their 2 dogs, have lived in the McDonough area for over 20 years.
Garrett Stephens
Owner & Director of Landscape Projects
Garrett has been working with landscapes and installations for nearly 12 years. As a certified landscape designer, he leads the landscape design division of our company by overseeing large projects from conception and design through installation.

Garrett's always loved building, being outside, and watching things come together. His eye for design and experience make him an essential part of our team. He is engaged to be married in early 2024!
Joe Shadowens
Maintenance Supervisor & Operations Director
Joe has been with JW's since 2014. He's worked his way up by learning all aspects of our lawn care procedures and now leads our lawn care division. Joe manages schedules, ensures customer satisfaction, and develops and trains new employees.
As a retired teacher, Joe has a knack for operations and organization. We rely on him to oversee the daily operations of our teams.
Chelsea Shadowens
Office Manager
Chelsea works behind the scenes on all of our digital communications, including: monthly invoicing, maintaining our website and social media, and emailing our customers.

In addition to her work at JW's, she works full time as a digital project manager. Chelsea is the daughter of John and sister to Garrett. She and Joe have been around the McDonough area for nearly 20 years.
